To celebrate this, we are asking the men in our team why they believe diversity in tech matters and how they see the future of the industry.

What do you think the IT industry will look like in 10 years? Will it become more gender-balanced?

Varun Vimala Gangadharan, Tech Lead Doctricks:

– The tech industry, historically male-dominated, is increasingly prioritizing diversity and inclusion.

Expanding opportunities for women—from trainee programs to leadership roles—helps address biases and create a more balanced workforce.

Ongoing efforts, including mentorship and leadership programs, are paving the way for a more inclusive and innovative future in IT.

Have you ever had a female mentor in your career? If so, what did you learn from her?

– I have had the chance to be mentored by female mentors. Having female mentors across different organizations has given me valuable insights into planning, problem-solving, and thinking beyond limits.

I admire their ability to listen, collaborate, and lead with clear objectives and ambition.

Their support has helped me grow, stay curious, and gain confidence in my work.

I believe these qualities are essential in any leader, regardless of gender.

Doctricks team conquers Rånäs Castle: combining strategic planning with team spirit

At the beginning of November, Doctricks employees held a two-day conference in the magical Rånäs Castle. It is a place with a mysterious atmosphere and a rich history, where every corner reminds us of bygone eras. And the ghost that is said to live here? It only adds to the fascinating charm of our event!

The conference was an excellent opportunity to blend important strategic planning with relaxed and open communication. This combination left a lasting impression and inspired us for the future.

E-invoicing Day in Paris

Last Thursday, Doctricks AB was at the Palais Brongniart in Paris for the e-invoicing Day. The implementation of the invoicing mandate in France has been postponed to September 1, 2026. It is an opportunity to start your project right now and ensure a smooth transition period. Other countries are also concerned in a near future such as Germany, Belgium and Spain.

Jeudi dernier, Doctricks AB était au Palais Brongniart à Paris pour la Journée de la Facture Electronique. La mise en application de la Facture Electronique en France a été reportée au 1er september 2026. C’est une opportunité pour commencer votre projet dès à présent et assurer une période de transition en douceur. D’autres pays sont aussi bientôt concernés comme l’Allemagne, La Belgique, l’Espagne.

Doctricks Women’s Days – Ella

About Ella:
I am 26 years old who recently took my master’s degree in interaction technology and design. I have worked at Doctricks as an IT-consultant for the last few months.

What does equality mean for you?
Equality for me means that everyone is given the same opportunities regardless gender. Being a woman is not a disadvantage it is an advantage.

Can you share any personal experiences or observations regarding gender dynamics in the university?
During my time at university, I never felt I got mistreated because I was female. I studied a program where the gender ratio was 50/50, which is quite unique for a tech education.

However, something I noticed and know is a problem is that most tech educations is dominated by men. I do not personally think that it is on purpose, but I do think that it is an issue that needs to be handled. We need to encourage more women to take an interest in tech and show them that there is place for them as well. For example, in my year there was roughly just about 3 women out of 70 reading the computer engineering program.

What do you think can be done to enforce equality among tech educations?
I think it is important with presence. Show other women that the tech industry is a place for them as well. During my time as a student, I rarely came by other women working in tech when talking to different tech companies. We need to be better at representing equality within the tech industry and promoting a future where equality is not just the goal but also the reality.
