Diversifying teams is more than just a trend—it’s a game-changer

Different perspectives, experiences, and approaches make companies more flexible, creative, and successful. The tech industry is evolving, and more women are shaping its future every day.

To celebrate this, we are asking the men in our team why they believe diversity in tech matters and how they see the future of the industry.

What do you think the IT industry will look like in 10 years? Will it become more gender-balanced?

Varun Vimala Gangadharan, Tech Lead Doctricks:

–  The tech industry, historically male-dominated, is increasingly prioritizing diversity and inclusion.

Expanding opportunities for women—from trainee programs to leadership roles—helps address biases and create a more balanced workforce.

Ongoing efforts, including mentorship and leadership programs, are paving the way for a more inclusive and innovative future in IT.

Have you ever had a female mentor in your career? If so, what did you learn from her?

Nicolas Blanluet Project Manager:

– I have had the chance to be mentored by female mentors. Having female mentors across different organizations has given me valuable insights into planning, problem-solving, and thinking beyond limits.

I admire their ability to listen, collaborate, and lead with clear objectives and ambition.

Their support has helped me grow, stay curious, and gain confidence in my work.

I believe these qualities are essential in any leader, regardless of gender.

With over 20 years of project management experience, she is known for her unconventional thinking and expertise in both traditional and agile methodologies. Madhuri excels at solving complex challenges and driving successful project execution.

Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys an active lifestyle—spending time with family, playing games, traveling, cooking, and watching movies. Her ability to balance work and personal life makes her a great addition to our team.
Let’s get to know her better!

What inspired you to pursue a career in project management, and how did you come to your current role?

I enjoy organizing, planning, and leading teams to achieve specific goals. The role involves strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which makes it extremely rewarding for me. I started in IT as a developer and gradually took on more responsibilities in project management, gaining certifications that helped me advance in my career.

How does your experience working in large companies and in different project management models help you in your new role as a team leader?

Working in large companies exposed me to diverse organizational cultures, processes, and challenges. This experience allows me to navigate complex situations, make informed decisions, and implement best practices. It has also helped me develop strong leadership skills—communication, delegation, and conflict resolution—that foster collaboration and improve team performance.

What skills and knowledge do you plan to apply in your new position?

I plan to apply effective leadership, clear communication, project management expertise, problem-solving, decision-making, planning, mentoring, and technical knowledge to create a collaborative and highly productive environment while delivering high-quality service to clients.

Are there any secrets that help you find innovative solutions and achieve the best results in projects?

I am always curious about how things work and like to think outside the box. I embrace failures as learning opportunities and engage with colleagues and industry experts to gain diverse perspectives. I also adopt an iterative approach—testing, gathering feedback, and making continuous improvements—to drive innovation and achieve better outcomes.

How do you maintain a balance between your professional and personal life, taking into account your hobbies and active lifestyle?

Maintaining balance is essential for productivity and creativity. I set clear boundaries between work and personal time, prioritize tasks, and take regular tea breaks to recharge. I spend quality time with my family and friends in the evenings and love traveling during vacations.

We are excited to welcome Madhuri to our team and are confident that her contribution will help us reach new heights in project execution and the development of Doctricks. Learn more about our projects on website!

Doctricks team conquers Rånäs Castle: combining strategic planning with team spirit

At the beginning of November, Doctricks employees held a two-day conference in the magical Rånäs Castle. It is a place with a mysterious atmosphere and a rich history, where every corner reminds us of bygone eras. And the ghost that is said to live here? It only adds to the fascinating charm of our event!

The conference was an excellent opportunity to blend important strategic planning with relaxed and open communication. This combination left a lasting impression and inspired us for the future.

Accessibility as a core value

Making digital and document accessibility a core value goes beyond regulatory compliance with regulations like the European Accessibility Act (EAA). It demonstrates your commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equity (DEI). Prioritizing accessibility unlocks significant benefits for your organization.

Business benefits of accessibility

Ensuring that your products and services are accessible to a broader audience, including individuals with disabilities, naturally expands your market reach. This inclusivity attracts customers who appreciate ethical and socially responsible businesses, fostering brand loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.

Furthermore, companies that excel in accessibility are recognized as leaders in innovation and customer experience. This reputation sets you apart in a competitive market, while also reducing the risk of legal and compliance issues.

Are you affected by the European Accessibility Act (EAA)?

Yes, if you provide any of the following products and/or services:

  • Access to Audio-Visual Media Services
  • ATMs, Ticketing, and Check-in Machines
  • Banking Services
  • Computers and Operating Systems
  • E-books
  • E-commerce
  • Services Related to Air, Bus, Rail, and Sea Passenger Transport
  • Smartphones
  • Telephony Services and Related Equipment
  • TV Equipment Related to Digital Television Services

Make products and/or services compliant by June 28, 2025

  • Involve the business – accessibility is not an IT only issue
  • Perform an Accessibility Assessment to get current status
  • Do you need budget for some new tools
  • Create an Accessibility Roadmap for June 28, 2025:
    – Prioritise your documents in order of usage;
    – Assign clear business ownership to each document;
    – Set deadline for document to have passed accessibility testing;
    – If not ready in time, publish accessibility statement with status;
    – Continue work until done and update accessibility statement.

Ultimately, integrating accessibility into your core business strategy positions you for sustainable growth in a global marketplace. This focus on inclusivity creates opportunities for innovation and fosters a culture that drives success. In short, accessibility is not just the right thing to do, it’s a smart business decision that strengthens your brand, broadens your reach, and positions you for long-term success.
